The 120 hectare Chakana estate is located South of Mendoza in Agrelo, Lujan de Cuyo; one of the prime areas in the region for growing grapes. Their land is home to 40-year old Malbec vines, as well as ones planted in 2002. Small tanks are used to ensure the identity of the wines are maintained and linked to the particular parcels of soil that the vines grew on. They are very proud to be an environmentally and socially responsible producer, having implemented biodynamic and organic methods in 2012, as well as working with and caring for the local indigenous people.
This is your classic Argentinian Malbec; deep purple in colour, with aromas of plum, strawberry, fig and spices such as cloves and cardamom. Velvety tannins and a great length prove that well made wines don't always have to be expensive.View product details
