The De Stefani family has been making wines in the Veneto for four generations. Their estate is located 50km from the Alpine foothills and 20km from the sea; a location that provides an ideal microclimate for aromatic, fresh wines. The Pinot Grigios are all of superior quality, showing plenty of fruitiness with hints of almonds, apple and a fresh, zesty, dry finish. The Prosecco comes from the hills north of Treviso and is an informal sparkling alternative to Champagne. Today Alessandro makes wines from old vines from very high density vineyards and continues to embrace his family's moto: "Total devotion to quality with no compromise."
Prosecco, Metodo Zero, de Stefani, Veneto
Region / Producer
Metodo Zero is an innovative method of vinification that helps maintain the fresh fruity aromas of the wine. This is because the wine is kept as close to zero degrees Celsius throughout the vinification process. The latest vintage of 2015 is a lovely; fresh Prosecco with fine bubbles and a light straw colour. There is plenty of fruit on the palate and aromas of apple, a little banana and a floral finish. This sparkling wine has a light to medium body; and is perfect as an aperitif or with light dishes.
