Us
Genesis Wines is a long established UK merchant supplying wines of quality and distinction to private clients and the on-trade.

You
Pro-active and energetic, you will not only rise to challenges but actively seek them out. Experienced selling to private clients, your excellent wine knowledge (WSET level 3 or beyond), natural networking ability and the pride you take in delivering excellent and efficient service will help you build your client base and exceed your targets. You are a team player and happy to muck in where necessary, and you naturally bring a high level of professionalism to everything you do. Numerate and literate, you will of course be familiar and comfortable with standard IT packages.

The role
Inheriting a group of customers, you will be keen to understand these clients and what makes them tick. You won’t stop there, recognising that bringing on new business and building new relationships is crucial to long term success. Always looking for ways to increase your sales you will be excited to work with the fantastic range of wines we buy direct, but also to sniff out opportunities in the secondary market.

On-Trade Sales Executive

Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen for an On-Trade Sales Executive to join our team in central London.
We are looking for someone to help us maintain and grow our on-trade business throughout the UK. The role requires someone pro-active and energetic with a very good understanding of the current on-trade market and an ability to identify, convert and develop new business opportunities.

Key Requirements
• Minimum 3 years’ experience, with a demonstrable track record of identifying and converting new business opportunities within the UK on-trade.
• A proven track record of working to and exceeding sales targets
• High level of wine knowledge
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A keen and effective networker
• WSET Advanced (Level 3) certification (Diploma preferable)
• A pro-active attitude and the ability to learn quickly
• Numerate with a high level of integrity, reliability and trustworthiness
• Good IT skills and an understanding of online sales
• Professional attitude and a calm, patient and polite manner
• Ability to work well within a team and also under own initiative
• Committed to providing excellent customer service
