René continues to be one of the great characters in the Rhône valley and is considered a star of the appellation, his Côte Rôties are world famous. His passion and character are evident in his winemaking and his rules are simple: lots of hard work in the vineyard followed by minimal intervention in the cellar, with gentle extraction and skilful handling of oak.
