Maison Deux Montille
Deux Montille, run by brother and sister team Etienne and Alix de Montille, is the négociant business of the family’s Volnay-based domaine. With a large quality-filled range stretching from the lesser appellations in the Côte Chalonnaise to grander cuvées of the Côte d’Or, the wines are a great way to experience the De Montille style without having to join the lengthy waiting list for an allocation of the domaine wines.

Different characters on the nose – some hazelnut and spring blossom. Lovely feel on the palate too and has a range of flavoursexpressed with subtlety. Best vintage to date from this vineyard. Drink from 2010.

Wonderful aromas of white flowers with a hint of butterscotch. The palate has kept its fresh fruit characters and mid weight acidity. The wine is well rounded and delicate on the finish.
