Domaine de Mouscaillo
Domaine Mouscaillo’s five hectares of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, located in Roquetaillade, on one of the highest points in the area, are run organically by Pierre Fort and his wife. Having run Château de Tracy in Pouilly sur Loire for many years, Pierre decided to go back to his family roots. The style is rich and almost Burgundian but with fabulous acidity due to the altitude. Large 600 litre barrels are used so there is no overt oakiness either. A fabulous wine that perennially receives accolades from the French wine press.
