The sororal double act of Catherine and Sophie Armenier are as grounded and unpretentious as they come. Catherine’s area of responsibility lies in the vineyards, using biodynamic techniques, while Sophie’s domain is in the cellar. There she uses large vats and not a centimetre of new oak. The result has been more than one of the legendary 100 point marks from Robert Parker, but these highly sought after wines are not super extracted monsters; they are extremely pleasurable with feminine elegance and graceful poise. Genesis favourites through and through.
