Borie La Vitarele
Founded in 1990 this property has now established itself as one of the leading Saint Chinian producers. Using varying combinations of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, all cultivated using biodynamic techniques, Jean François Izarn knows how to express the differences between his terroirs. The Schistes, not surprisingly, is based on schists, and has an added minerally graphite element. A reoccurring theme of freshness runs through all the wines.
