Genesis Wines

Carineña is an up and coming area, located just to the south of Zaragoza in Aragon. Though it shares its name with the Spanish synonym of Carignan, more than just this single variety is grown there. The Mateos’ vineyards are planted with Garnacha, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Macabeo. They used to sell their fruit on but for the past five years they have been making their own wine. Modern and fruit driven they represent exceptional value and are a great illustration of New Wave Spain.
